Houston, Texas – (September 15, 2021):The Capstreet Group, a Houston, Texas based private equity firm, is pleased to announce the promotions of Wayne Washburn to Chief Technology Officer – Operating Executive Team, Nico Gayle to Vice President and Evan Harmon to Senior Associate, effective August 1, 2021.
Wayne joined Capstreet in September 2019 as Vice President, Technology, bringing over 35 years of experience in commercial software development, information technology architecture management and product management groups. Wayne’s broad business experience and technical knowledge have been instrumental in his ongoing engagements with portfolio companies and new investment opportunities.
Nico joined Capstreet in July 2019 after having worked in the investment group at McNair Interests, a single-family office, and in investment banking at GulfStar Group, both in Houston. Nico earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin – McCombs School of Business. Nico has distinguished himself during his career at Capstreet by his investment acumen and transaction expertise in working with both portfolio companies and in developing new investment opportunities.
Evan joined Capstreet in July 2019 from Stephens Inc., where he worked on various types of M&A and financing transactions across the industrial, transportation, technology, media & telecom and energy sectors. Evan received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree and a Master of Financial Management degree from Texas A&M University. Evan’s investment acumen and strong work ethic have been invaluable to the Capstreet team.
Additionally, in the summer 2021, Capstreet welcomed three new associates, Keith Cotter, Travis Groos and Varun Nalamada, as well as a business development analyst, Annie Curley.
